Procedure to filefir for quaashing

Hi
I was register under a false 420 and 120 case now on bail from high court but now my advocate is saying that let the police file the challan then we will file for fir quashing I want know should I wait for the police to file the challan or should go ahead with filling for quashing of fir as in my case other accused are neither arrested nor got bail pls suggest what should I do as on 29 sept it 1year completed since fir has been register
