Wrong debit to staff HBL by error and reversed

A bank branch while debiting staff HBL ,the accred interest by error debited Rs.22.00 lakh and odd instead of Rs.2.00;lakh n odd. After noticing the error within a week, recredited the diff amount. This happened during 2008. During 2014 the employee gave letter and he was advised of the fact.
Now as he was compulsorily retired on a domestic enquiry on some other irregularities committed by him, disgruntled, he has filed a PCR of cheating. It appears that police conniving with him has filed charge sheet under section 420, etc. against present Management n board members who were not there during 2008.
What measures can b taken if summoned by court. Matter urgent
