Birth registration

My friends father had applied for his delayed registration of birth. Although most of the documentation has been done but the SDM is asking for the older proof of residence when my friend was born.
Back then they used to live on rent and they do not have an address proof of that house.
They have already got an affidavit signed by the owner of the house, stating that they used to live on rent at their house.
What all shall be provided as residential proof for the old rental address?

A certificate from the owner of your old house.

Meet the SDM office people with the copy of the affidavit and ask if any further document required.

rental receipts issued by landlord during the period would prove that tenant was staying in said flat . even certificate issued by flat owner would suffice

Have you tried the Doctor's or Hospital 's Proof of the Same.

Yes, certificate means affidavit. That will suffice.

Any proof like Ration card, address in school admission Register or entry of birth in local hospital can be a address proof also.

As observed by experts, it is only a procedural formality to be observed by the applicant, this requirement if met, will suffice.
