Posting this query again. My maternal uncle is living in a house inherited from his mother. During my childhood, he obtained signature from my mother and now my uncle claims that it is his property. The property was inherited by my grandmother from her maternal family. My grandmother passed away in 1990. Her gold jewelry also was kept by my uncle. My uncle is unresponsive when my mother tried to ask him her share. I would like to know the kind of rights my mother holds to claim the property. The property is being enjoyed by my uncle's family since 1982 and all the rents coming out of that property were never shared with my mother. Can we claim that as well? My grandfather is alive and he is ready to support my mother but not sure how. My mother was asked to sign so that my uncle can apply for home loan. My grandfather says that that my grandmother had intention of giving a share to my mother to which my uncle refused always. Consent was taken from my mother for a different reason. Let me know if any further information required. I will be grateful for any helpful advice. Thank you.
