Dear Experts,
I am looking your help and guidance from you.
In OS No 441/1992 in sub-court , I am the 1st defendant and two other defendents are there.
The OS 441/1992 decided on 1996 and the case bundle sent to the District court(Now case bundle in District Court Record Section).
Now i need case documents of OS 441/1992, for another case which i am party in person.
Now i would like to file copy application in District Court.
Actually the case OS proceeded & decided in sub-Court after certain period of time the case bundle was sent to the District Court Record Section, now it is in Rec Section of District Court.
Doubts are
1) Can i file Copy Application In District Court. (because it is a sub-court case, now case bundle in district court)
2) Can I file Copy application , as a party in person, (because i do not have sufficient income resource to appoint a lawyer)
3) Copy application where to submit
directly in Open court or any other officer designated for copy application.

Yes, you can in person apply for certified copy and it is to be done in the court where the case record was originally pending at the time of passing of judgement.

Lawyer is not required for filing application on prescribed format. Copying section maintains record of all courts so apply there directly.

Thank you Experts,
Because one of our Local Lawyer told that
the party can appear the case of his own, but when the filing of copy application ,it is not possible to apply party in person, only lawyer can apply the copies.
so i had submitted my doubt before you.

as per your information my opinion are as under:
1) Can i file Copy Application In District Court. (because it is a sub-court case, now case bundle in district court)
Opinion: yes you can file an application for certified copy of the documents before Incharge Copying Department of the Civil court.
2) Can I file Copy application , as a party in person, (because i do not have sufficient income resource to appoint a lawyer)
Opinion: yes, as you informed that you are defendant then you have right to get certified copy of the case.
3) Copy application where to submit
directly in Open court or any other officer designated for copy application.
Opinion: In-Charge copying departments.
