Purchasing of agriculture land from sc catagory

I am Sandeep, belonging to SC category.

I am Planning to Purchase Agriculture land of 5 acre from other person which he is also belonging to SC category (land which is Granted by Government). So, my question is 1)Can i Purchase that land legally In Karnataka?
2)While purchase that land Should I take permission From DC?

you have to consult tenancy laws applicable in the state.

Be sure that if such sale is found to be illegal the seller is not bound to refund the price but you are bound to restore land to him.
