Contact local Tehsil / District administration office. Bifurcation of casts in SC, ST, OBC differ in different states.

Baniya is regarded as BC in Bihar and UP but you have not told your State so nothing can be opined.

that is the reason that I told him to visit tehsil office. They have got list of each state. anyway this is not a legal query.
