One of my cousins died in February 2013 in a motor accident.He was an NRI and he had executed a will in 2012 leaving the properties in India and US to his wife and children,which was prepared and executed in the US.In this will he had revoked his previous will.In 2004,he had executed a will prepared and registered with local authorities.In this will, he had set apart the properties in India to his only brother,who is living in India.What is the legal implications of the two wills.Jacob

It will be the last (latest in time) WILL that will prevail.

Last Will is Valid and the Wife is entitled to get all his property

Agree with the experts. Registration of the will does not effect its effectiveness, latest in time will prevail.

Lat will shall prevail but it now requires probate in the civil court.
