What is Protest petititon

Can I file a protest petition for my 498a case

I so, what would be the jurisdiction on LC/HC

Protest petition cannot be filed in the given case either in LC or HC as the same is like filing a counter claim before HC in any criminal matter.

protest pitition can file only when the final report (u/s-169 cr.p.c.)has came in the f.i.r.

If the Police files a Final Report then the de facto can challenge the submission of the said Final Report by filing Protest petition in the same court of the Magistrate.

Protest petition is being filed by the defacto complainant, if the police refused to file charge sheet and files a negative report.
