Hello,
I wanted to purchase a flat but original owner of flat is died long back and now same need to be transfer on his wife's name only after which I will be able to buy that property.
Kindly advise me fastest and easiest way to get this done. What is the maximum time I can expect for this procedure.

What is hurry? Let the property be transferred to the eligible heir after completion of due legal process by that family?
Quite a risky proposal, if you buy in a hurry.
Try some other property, if some hurry is there.

The inheritance shall be as per personal law that applies to deceased owner.
Avoid buying without legal opinion from a very able counsel specializing in revenue/property/civil matters.

Show all documents to your lawyer after the property is transferred in the name of legal heir and proceed as per his advice.
