Dear Experts,

I want to apply passport in Tatkal and I need to provide Class A officer signed(Gazetted Officer Sign)Annexure F. I took signature of a scientist working in DRDO Delhi. I am applying passport in Pune. I wanted to know if his sign will work here in Pune or not?
Sailesh Kumar Shah (Expert) 02 December 2014
just confirm that he is class 'A' officer.

Submitting a document duly signed by appropriate officer at a different place will not create any problem.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 03 December 2014
The passport would be issued under tatkal scheme. Passport office would confirm the genuineness of the signatures.
P. Venu (Expert) 03 December 2014
Practically, it may not work. The passport office invariably insist on the attestation from the DM or the SP for the Tatkal scheme.
NIDHI SINGH (Querist) 03 December 2014
@sailesh sir he is director of DRDO, so as per my knowledge he is a class A.

Dear Nidhi,
Director DRDO is not only a Group "A" Officer, but a sufficiently senior officer as well. Therefore, you need not worry.
NIDHI SINGH (Querist) 03 December 2014
Thanks Anirudh sir. But he is working in delhi and I am applying in Pune. So I am concerned if that is okay or not?

malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 03 December 2014
I already clarified that there would not be any problem. Why are persistently asking the same point?
Sailesh Kumar Shah (Expert) 04 December 2014
go ahead. you have already short time for tatkal passport.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 07 December 2014
If it is a requirement for a gazetted officer to attest, a gazetted officer in any part of the country can sign and it will be valid through the country. Don't get confused over the issues which do not carry much significance.
