(Querist) 24 February 2014 This query is : Resolved 
respected members,
a civil suit for declaration was filed in the year 2003 by plaintiffs against defendant No.1 to 8 when the case was fixed for defendants evidence, i become the party as defendant no. 9 10 and 11 in the year 2013. now i have filed written statement and want to cross examine the plaintiff witnesses being newly added party. Judge saab asked me for law. kindly help me.

No specific law required. it is general law that plaintiff's evidence can not be read against you unless chance of cross examination is given to you.

you can cross examine the witnesses only when the matter is fixed for evidence, if evidence has completed and you want to cross examine then file an application for recalling the witnesses
