dear sir ,
i have so many issues held from purchasing a flat. at last i get the key but the elctricity meter name changing process is left. the consign owner is not support to sign the name changing form.the owner and the broker doing a drama . we are working people we fed up sir . kindly give me a suitavble replay at your end.

If you have the sale deed in your name, just give an application to the EB dept, along with the sale deed copy.
No need to get the sign of the previous owner.

Yes, on the basis of sale deed you can apply for name transfer.

Contact the electricity department. If you have scarcity of time you can avail the services of some Broker.

The practice is to get NOC for trf of Electricity bill, Tax Bill, ALONG WITH sET FOR SHARE TRANSFER AND SALE DEED.
IT IS OBVIOUS THAT ONCE U PART WITH MONEY, SELLER IS LEAST BOTHER, AND U HV TO RUN FROM PILLAR TO POST.
YOUR SOCIETY CAN ISSUE NOC, AND ON BASIS OF MTN BILL, SALE DEED, SOC NOC,
ELECT WILL BE TRF.
Orig Deposit remains to be returned to seller, for which , his consent is necessary., but not absolutely necessary, it can be waived,

Once you have a valid sale deed registered on your name, you become the owner, on that basis, you can apply for transferring the Electricity consumption meter or connection on your name, you do not have to take your vendor to the Electricity department office for the purpose.
