Can an NC be withdrawn if we wish to withdraw it in mumbai? if yes, can you please tell me under what section of what act can it be done?? Since the police officers tell me that it cannot be withdrawn.

Please make your mind clear that once a FIR
cognizable or non cognizable gets registered
in the register of police then that page can never be destroyed BUT THAT IS WHAT YOU DESIRE AND THAT CAN NEVER BE FULFILLED. POLICE IS RIGHT LEGALLY THEY CAN NOT TEAR ANY PAGE OF THEIR GENERAL DIARY.Police does not investigate NC cases.

You being student, It seems to be ACADEMIC QUERY.
in any case NC need not be cleared off its existence.
Otherwise also, Police will not take any action. So no need to do anything, even if you filed a genuine NC which is your family matter.

I agree that NC does not cause much harm but if any further issue, they can take action based on the NC right? and that is what i do not what
