Is police bound to give reciept copy of seized documents

(Querist) 07 January 2013 This query is : Resolved 
sir,police will seize documents from me which i have mentioned in my complaint.i want to get receipt copy of each of those documents.(io should write that RECEIVED ORIGINAL COPY).ALL I WANT IS THIS during preperation of seizure list.is i.o bound by law to give receipt of seized original documents.what shall i do if he refuses to give receipt.please advise me

yes police is bound to give copy seizure list.
