housewife about to lodge a complain u/s 498a and threatening husband and in-laws. what precaution should be taken by husband and in-laws against that false complain.

apply for anticpatory bail after complaint is lodged . contact a local lawyer

The best precaution is to settle the matter amicably failing which to file RCR and keep ready surities.

Otherwise the 498a would get registered if the wife would so desire.

first of all try to settle the matter amicably, if not resolve, you can file RCR, it show that you are willing to live with her and she is adamant to file false cases against you. I have different view to Mr. Shonee. I agree with Mr. Makkad

Dear Saurav,

Every case filed by women u/s 498 A are not won by them.Go for a compromise,without delaying and if if the matter remains stand still,then file a case for RCR.
