Is stamp duty payable when a holding co. transfers a property to its 100% subsidiary co.

when it is transfer you have to pay the stamp duty.

The legal status of both companies is different even though the former is fully subsidiary of latter even then it is a valid transfer hence stamp duty is required to be paid as per provisions of Transfer of Property Act.
