Adjournment sine die

(Querist) 16 November 2010 This query is : Resolved 
If some case is adjourned sine die because of non appearance of petitioner, and the petitioner gives his reply after sometime, how will tbe respondent come to know of that ?


Will the petitioner have to serve compies of his reply to the respondent and his counsel ?


Is any procedure prescribed for starting an adjourned sine die case ?

All the copies of the pleading should be served on other party through notice.

All documents filed in court needs to be exchanged between the parties.
Matter may be mentioned in court to restart proceedings.

You can see in the court diary regarding the reply of the petitioner. You have every right to mention before the court that you want to make additional submissions, prior to the pronouncement of the order.
