We received our one fourth share in sale of ancestral property. The buyer also deposited the TDS on our share of amount he paid to us. We invested the part of receipts in NHAI Bonds. How to show all this in ITR.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to report the sale of ancestral property and subsequent investment in NHAI Bonds within your Income Tax Return (ITR). The sale proceeds, after TDS deduction, were partially invested in NHAI Bonds. It's recommended to file using ITR-2 and declare these transactions on the Capital Gains page. Seeking advice from a tax consultant is advised for accurate filing.
