Codicil or amendment/supplementary deed

(Querist) 06 January 2015 This query is : Resolved
I would like to know whether an amendment to Partnership be called a Codicil. For that matter any Supplementary Deed or Amendment Deed be called a Codicil in general.
Anirudh (Expert) 06 January 2015
The term Codicil is used only in relation to a WILL and not otherwise.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 06 January 2015
Yes,codicil is used in relation of will.
A codicil is a document that amends, rather
than replaces, a previously executed will. Amendments made by a codicil may add or revoke small provisions.
