One of the Cement company has offered cash discount by way of passing credit note on bulk purchases. in pursuance of the offer, a buyer (Infra company) had released P.O for bulk purchases. but the Cement company has defaulted to make the cash discount to the Buyer. Can we file a consumer complaint against the cement company to recover the discount amount from them....pls clarify the legal position.

there is an another provision under specific performance act or you can file a suit for recovery after sending a legal notice.

Yes, you can file such case in the consumer forum.

A civil suit is maintainable in the given case as the purchase was meant for commercial activities.
