Regarding security cheque

sIR/MADAM,

I HAVE GIVEN A CHEQUE AS SECURITY TO A FINANCE COMPANY WITHOUT ANY AMOUNT.
BUT THE FINANCE COMPANY HAS DEPOSITED THE CHEQUE BY ENTERING THE AMOUNT AND NOW THE FINANCE COMPANY HAS FILED NIA/138 CASE AGAINST ME.

KINDLY LET ME KNOW THE SOLUTION.

Yes! contest and prove it was security cheque.

U have to defend on merit.

Normal procedure of finance co. to obtain blank signed PDC cheques for recovery of Loan.
Prove it was issued before six months/.

you have to prove that material alterations have been made in the cheque without your consent . if you had authorised finance company to fill in details then you have an uphill task .

There is no remedy against a security cheque except as available in all normal courses.
