Birth certificate.

i m 18years old. I borned on 1995 in a village of bihar. I have a signed letter by a sarpanch of village.but now for the passport,i need a birth certificate with registration no. Pls tell me the procedure to get a registered birth certificate ? Its urgent.

Now a days,i m living in mp. Can it be issued in mp ?

In rural area the panchayat is the municipal authority. c

Village secretary maintains a register known as kutumb register where in all births and deaths are recorded in format with relation to every house and family and certified copy thereof can be obtained paying some charges.

If your name with date of birth is not recorded therein,then you need to apply before SDM of your tehsil (of Bihar state)for getting it recorded.

You can not apply in M.P.
