where are you from ? Adverse Possession means, if you have occupied any land without interference with land lord until 12yrs you can claim A.P. but you can prove it that you have in possession in the said land last 12 yrs.
Kiran Kumar (Expert) 15 December 2012
you cannot file suit on the basis of Adverse Possession, though may raise it as a defence.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 15 December 2012
A possessor as got no right to claim ownership by way of adverse possession rather it is the true owner, if he agitates then such person may establish his ownership. The possession should be continuous since last 12 years hostile to true owner.

You Can acquire title by prescription and if adverse possession is for more then 20 year against a private person and more then 30 year against the Government, you get prescriptive easement and it provide to you a civil right.

You can sue for that.

Procedure is very simple, just write a plaint and file it before a court.

It took me 10 years to learn this procedure but after that I found that it was a job of 10 minutes only.
