Certified copies

(Querist) 05 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir,
Once Probate for an unregistered WILL is granted, can we get certified copies of that probated WILL from the Probate Court? If yes, do the certified copies have same value as the original unregistered WILL? Can we use those certified copies in other law suits without bringing out the original unregistered WILL?
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 05 December 2012
Once Probate is granted , you would get a copy of the Will attached with Probate certificate as well.
No need for separate copy.

Respected Sir,
If we ask for more no. of such copies(of WILL with Probate Certificate attached) from the Probate court, can they give them?
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 05 December 2012
You can get as many as copies as you require from the copying branch of the court which provided the order for probate. The unregistered will is not required in future rather the order of the court has to produce as and when required.
