My father has received property from my grandfathers property.we are three children(1 younger brother and 1 sister) but my father want to give property to only two of them.please suggest that how and till when can i claim my part from it and my father has some property purchased by himself too, can i ask claim from that too.
actually earlier i was not interested in that but my younger sister has came back after married and staying with them and don`t want to go back.but i don`t want to go into that, but now if she will get her portion then i also want my portion from all. please help me

ou can definitely claim your share from the ancestral property, but not from the self acquired property of your father.

It shall have to be seen whether your grand father also got that property in his inheritance or it was his self acquired.

If it was his self acquired then this property is also self acquired for your father and he can manage the property and can settle the same as per his whims and wishes and you can do nothing now or after death of your father but if the property was ancestral then you have equal right therein and can demand for its partition even during the life time of your father.

The properties which your father has purchased out of his funds are to be treated similar to self acquired properties told you above.
