Respected experts,
What is IPC 156(3)? What are the powers of a magistrate under this section?
How arrest Warrants are issued under 156(3)??

magistrate can order to the police to register the case and investigate. Magistrate can not order any arrest warrant while acting under this section.

On filing a complaint Magistrate can order to the police authority to investigate into the matter and if necessary treat the complaint as an FIR,but can not order of warrant of arrest.( Madhubala Vs Suresh 1997 3Crimes 162:AIR 1997 SC 3104:1997 Cr LJ 3757).

On receiving a complaint Magistrate can order to police u/s 156{3} of Cr.P.C to register and investigate the matter but can not order to arrest accused persons.
