It is UK based health insurance company. They set their own methods in structuring the hierarchy. If you have any grievance, you have no option except to quit the job.

Private companies have their own promotion and HR process designed on the basis of law of the land. The system is internal, does not violate law.

Not a legal problem. La cannot be expected to interfere in the internal business needs related matters of a company, unless that violates some law of the land.
