regarding houserent allowance

my wife is working in a private concern and i am working in a west bengal state government enterprise and we both draw house rent allowance.is it allowable or not

As per govt regulations - yes you can

for wife kindly see her conditions of service.

Not able to agree with Mr Venu. If husband and wife are Govt/PSU employees and posted in same station then either both get HRA (if no accommodation provided) or none will (if accommodation provided to one of them)
