Hi
I am in Saudi Arabia, I need to send a Special POA in a court case to India to my father. My question is,
1. As we didn't find the stamp papers in Saudi Arabia, Should I type the matter on a Plain white paper and get it attested by Indian Embassy over here or Should I need to type the matter on Stamp Paper only.
2. Do the Indian Embassy officer in Saudi Arabia accepts Special POA paper typed on a plain paper ?
Please advise, Thank you very much.

SPA has to be on a stamp paper. The value of stamp paper differs from state to state in India, where do you belong, check there itself.
Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia shall attest your signature, which shall be sent to your father, who will get it attested by area SDM in India, before it is accepted as legally executed POA.

Get the POA executed / attested before the Indian Embassy authorized officer, send in India where the papers would be stamped as per procedure.

Procedure is called 'handmaid'.Its simple.Get POA attested by a Notary and send to your father. It will be appropriately stamped at your place in India in order to validate it.No cumbersome exercise.

No need for a stamp paper. you can execute the POA or SPA before the Notary public. After this this document can be registered in SRO, India, by the Agent.
