you are at liberty to make application but you have to make out a case for setting aside order of exparte

Yes. Legally defendant can move such application at this stage also.

Yes!Defendant can move application as of right and if his grounds are not very bogus
he has 100%chance to get the order set aside because jurisprudence we follow is to decide
disputes after affording hearing to both parties.
