Can society be formed without occupancy/commencement certificate

Dear Sir/Madam,

We have got flat possession 2 year ago. But still we did not get Occupancy/commencement certificate.
In this case, can we form society without OC/CC.

Please advice.

Sir,
OC is a primary requirement for the registration of a CHS.
It is mandatory for the builder to get OC before handing over possession of the flats, and to get the society registered.

It is reported that the Cooperative Department of Maharashtra Govt issued circular on 03rd March, 2017 waiving production of OC for registration of the Society. Instead a certificate issued by the Municipal authorities confirming that the building is authorized is sufficient for registering the Society.
