Hello Everyone, My name is M.ABISHAKE, My native is Erode District in Tamilnadu. My Mother's Name is M.Sathyasundari, but in my birth certificate it is written as Sakthi only, by this mistake in my birth certificate I can't apply for passport. And before my mother marriage my mother name is kannagi, after marriage she changed her name as M.Sathyasundari according to numerology. In all my mother's certificate my mom name is kannagi. Except ration card, bank passbook, and pan card. So, what is the procedure to change my mother's name from Sakthi to Sathyasundari in my birth certificate as soon as possible ????

Seek the procedure from passport office, each office have set formality for such cases.

In your birth certificate your mother's name is written as Sakthi.
What is the name on ration card, bank passbook and pan card? These are the documentary evidences as on today and that name will prevail.
You fill-up the pass port application with your mother's name appearing in your birth certificate. If any documentary evidence relating to your mother's name is required, she can give an affidavit duly notarized. Contact the local pass port office to solve your problem.

Sir, I need to change my name in my birth certificate. . . I approached local corporation officer regarding this issue , he said that for name correction you should change your mother's name in gazette, then only you can a get new copy of birth certificate with the correct name of your mother. . . My doubt is what is the procedure to apply for name change in Tamilnadu gazette and what are the documents my mother should have before applying for her name change in gazette ????

File case in the court to get court orders regarding correction in the birth certificate.
You can not change name of your mother.
