Physical extortion by husband and his family

Dear Experts,
In one of the case husband mother is physically torturing the wife . Normal dowry is asked by mother . What is the way to get legal justice pls explain .

Do you need to be told that the girl has to dial 100 or 1029 and a case is to be registered under DV Act and also under 498a besides 323/326

or just let her visit CAW cell.

The sufferer has many legal remedies like filing criminal case under section 498A/406/506/323 IPC with section 3 of DP Act, DV Act case, 15 Criminal procedure cod etc.

Before moving to CAW cell do we have to complaint police for such incident .I mean to say that are they asking anything Pre FIR before coming to their office.

you can move to CAW with or without police complaint.

Even if you approach police they will refer case to CAW.
