Chartered acccountant in practice

(Querist) 09 January 2015 This query is : Resolved
Good afternoon sir........my query is can a chartered accountant in practice practice as an advocate.....If yes what is the procedure to get the bar council no. please reply...
Anirudh (Expert) 09 January 2015
It is not possible. Either you can practice as a Chartered Accountant or as an Advocate. You cannot be simultaneously practising as Advocate as also as Chartered Accountant. If you have both the qualifications, then you have to chose which one you want to practice. You have to get the one suspended which you will not be practising.
By the way, is this is not something which every professional learns while studying itself?

strictly no.

Dear Author, If a CA is going to practice as Advocate He would be the Best in Taxation Related Legal Matters.Choice would be Yours. But you could only Practice Either as CA or Advocate. In IT dept itself you could Prove your self as the Best with Legal Knowledge as a CA.
