Respected all,

what is the meaning of evidence stage before proceeding ?

matter: in a case of 420 of IPC, first Accused filed application to dismiss the complaint which was rejected by Court.

immediate after then Accused file another application for evidence stage. neither say submitted nor anything but magistrate directed for evidence stage before proceeding.

I am attending the proceeding as in-person please guide.

thanks in advance.

Now the complainant will have to depose in court.
Since it is criminal prosecution it is better to engage an advocate.

engage a advocate to fight your case . complainant evidence will have to be recorded

If evidence stage has been stated, the complainant has to depose evidence and he will be cross examined, as suggested by experts, better engage an advocate to avoid being at the loser's end.
