Cash bail and surety

Under sec.440 of crpc the amount of surety should be reasonable and not more. Is there any caselaw to support this? Also, the order was passed by the magistrate for 50,000/- and 75,000/- surety amount. Can the application be made before the same magistrate for reduction of the amount?

i agree .one may apply to magistrate for reducing the bail and surety amounts.
