Defamation case

dear i sir
i was arrested in june 2011 for a cheating case but it was a false case. now i am dischaged by the magistrate court. on my arrested newpaper company gave a wrong information about me to public. since i was discharged on august 2013 23 i can i fill a civil damage defamation case. not criminal defamation since i was dischaged recently so i have one year time after discharges. please tell me what to do to take compensation from the newpaper ageny for spoiling my name
and i want advocate in bangalore karnataka
