In a suit before the Civil Court, cause of action for which suit was filed has changed. The stage of the case is that it is fixed for Plaintiff's evidence in september, 2013.

Kindly advise how cause of action should be changed and what type of application should be filed in the court.

Plaintiff has no right to amend any plaint so that the CAUSE OF ACTION GETS CHANGED.

There is no change in the relief sought but the reason for getting the same relief has been changed.

If it is on the factual front then you can go for it by amendment of plaint but before the evidence starts.
