Can a customer ask for specific notes like 500 or 1000 while withdrawal from his account?

The notes of other denomination also being legal tender money, he cannot refuse to accept if notes of denomination other than 500 or 1000 are tendered to him.

If you have a bulk amount to be withdrawn you can give a specific instruction in advance, regarding the denominations. Normaly the banker will agree and comply if possible.

"Asking" is no problem! Availability is the problem. If the teller deliberately does not heed your request, you can explain him the purpose. Still if you face problem with teller, you can shift the matter to the next authority or Branch Manager, who will certainly help you if your request is genuine.
