Limitation period for criminal appeal

Sir,

When the Accused is acquitted by a Session Court for serious crime what is the period of limitation for appeal for Public Prosecutor and What is the remedy if Public Prosecutor in collusion with the accused refused to appeal. In such circumstances can victim go for appeal what is the period of limitation for appeal in such cases.

I will be grateful for kind information.
