Nick name in fir and charge sheet

my brother Acquit (A3) name mentioned in the FIR and CHARGE SHEET is
his nick name(entirely different from his actual name), He is in regular bail with the nick name.

will it help for quashing 498a

:-) The name of my spelling is constantly misspelt in all cause lists and some of the documents of courts.

Wish relief was possible on these grounds. But I must laud the effort of thinking out of the box.

Such a mistake is not going to yield either in quash or in trail,when you have a nick name that means people call you so also.Hopefully your father's name would also be there.

This is a mockery of law if he is acquitted from trial merely on the ground that his nick name has been used in FIR and Challan instead of his full name. If person is same, there is no effect on merit of case. Do nott raise such silly questions here and also in court.

Rightly said by all ld. experts that merely mistake in name i.e. nick name is not valid ground for quashing of FIR.

yes. I do agree, this is mockery of biased Indian law.
