Mr. x married Miss Y in the year 2006 by executing and registering an agreement for living as husband and wife. Both X and Y belongs to christian sects. They begotten a male child who is now 8 years. They owned a property in their name. They now wanted to end their life as husband and wife. Unfortunately Y got a passport with X's name in the spouse column. My question is which is the best way to end their matrimonial relation ship ?

The long cohabitation which has all the trappings of a conjugal life is treated as marriage and hence the same can be dissolved by decree of divorce only from a competent court of law.

Mr. barman has rightly answered.. they have to follow the legal procedure to get separated.
