seven years ago , i bought a bunglow in a society which is under co.op.hos.soc. and i also got 5 shares transffered in my name.the person from whom i bought this bunglow, have repay the loan and all lavies of the society and also got
RE-CONVEYANCE certificate from finance co. , from whom the said society have taken loan for their society members.now since i have got this RE-CONVEYANCE CERTIFICATE , if i want to resign from society and want to surrender my all 5 shares ..can i...?

bungalow is in your name . the society has transferred share certificates in your name . you have full right , title , interest in said bungalow and you can sell , gift , relinquish your interest to whom so ever you deem fit

If you require to discontinue your membership in the said society, you have to transfer the shares to a third party so also your ownership of the bunglow. B'coz , as per bye-laws of the society there would be provision that all owners of bunglows inside the society will automatically be members of the society and only upon transfer of ownership of the share in the property i.e. the bunglow by way of sale or otherwise, the membership of the transferor will cease.

yes.. am also thinking that if you like to surrender mean surely you can,, no one can stop you..

In fact .. i want to build an apartment on that site. .. but ... society is refusing and giving noc to build the multi storied building ... so I want to discontinu from the society. .. can l.?
