Sir,
I was married on 1994. My wife name is Kalpana sharma (official name) but family member called her by annu sharma. In voter list after marriage my father wirtten my wife name annu sharma in 1996. Now problem is in all documents i.e. PAN card, school certificate her name is kalpana sharma but in voter list and card name is annu sharma. Now I want to change her name is Annu Sharma. Pl advice me. I already published two local newspaper. In my office also her name is kaplana sharma.

You can effect a paper publication. But the concern authority have to accept your name's mistake. So just send a representation to the election commissioner with relevant documents. They will correct your wife's name in voter list. While next election your wife can comply her democratic duty. For your information now itself your wife can vote by showing any other supporting identity cards. Cos however the voter id will show her face. Typical error in voter id is very usual one. No one will stop her.

If you want to change the name of Kalpna as Annu in all her documents then publication should be got incorporated in the official Gezette of your State.

Dear experts, mr.anil saying except her voter id all other records showing her name as kalpana. So voter id only now his problem. Then why have to change all records as annu? I think am i correct. ?

Yes Mr.Tom, you are 100% correct.
Mr.Anil is having issues only with voter ID. He can apply to the election department for corrections and get a new Voter ID.
The news paper publications are not necessary.
