My friend have cctv supplies company
for political reasons he want to put cctv in police station
1) is it legal?
2) Whose permission is needed for the same

obviously he cannot install CCTV cameras in police station without any written permission from the cops

Though I believe, CCTV must be there, even for all panchnama , as witness hostile cases are majority, and increases injustice, acquitting criminal, and vital loophole in adm of justice, who want truth??
bribe and corruption is encouraged, not transparency and truth, or honesty.

You friend seem to be over jealous. Before putting such things he needs permission of CM.
Ask him to approach CM'S office.
