Hi,
I do have an urgent issue to which I need your help.
The below are queries
1. Basically my father/mother both are illiterates and they never bothered about the caste in school/college records and they have updated them as Muslim general category (OC) where as I actually belong to BC- B (OBC).......
How can I get this changed and if not changed?
2. Assuming that there is no other way and when state govt announced for including BC-E I immediately applied for it. Now it is of no use as supreme court has discarded it but I am being linked to it. But one if the community head suggested me to go ahead and get BC-B and gave me a certificate from his end.
Now can I get it changed to my original caste BC-B???
3. If don't get the details updated in school/college records and I get OBC certificate will that be a problem if I join any govt job??
I would be really greatful if you would reply to my queries.

f you belong to OBC community, you can obtain the certificate to that effect from the Competent Authority in the Revenue Department.

If any of your close relatives obtained OBC certificate, you can also get OBC certificate by explaining the mistake done by your parents.

Apply for the OBC certificate, if you actually belong to the category.

Thanks for your response
So basically what i understood is as I belong to OBC & my siblings to have the OBC certificate I can go ahead and apply for it.
Also I dont need to get these details updated in school records & I can proceed for govt jobs with OBC certificate once I get it.
Please correct me if I am wrong with my understanding

Once you get the OBC certificate, you need not update it in the school records. You can apply to the Govt job.

If you belong to Backward community and have proof for proving it at the time of verification or enquiry, you may proceed with the certificate so obtained and you shall become entitled to OBC too since your parents are unemployed and having no economic background.
