Normally a couple has to be present before the Registrar of Marriages at the time of filing a notice for marriage.
However, if the groom is living abroad, is it possible that he sends an affidavit duly signed by the Embassy and come to India only once - at the time of the marriage.
If this is possible, what formalities and papers (with text) would be required.

Hi, I am doing revenue practice and I have got a query from my revenue client. the matter is his wife is living with her parents at kolkata and not ready to come where his husband is living and working (gujarat) for about 6 to 7 months. Even after many efforts she is not ready to come to gujarat. Now husband is willing to give divorece. So can on basis of reasons a muslim husband can file case for divorce decree or what are the reasons /basis a husband(muslim) can give divorce.

My father got some properties (both self acquired and ancestral) of my grandfather during partition with his brother. Father expired on 2002.
I have filed a partition suite of those properties in 2008 in district court and still pending. Mother filed a suit & IA in a lower court in 2014 saying a will was registered for the properties in favour of her as life estate by my father before his death and applied for injunction against me to enjoy rights. But it was dismissed by a lower court as the will was not proved.
Now I have approached district court with a petition to appoint a receiver till disposal of my partition suit. I am an Hindu from Tamilnadu.
My questions are
1. whether my action is correct?
2.What else can be done legally to establish my right over the properties?

There a House Hold Artice that i had kept outside mu flat tied and locked by a chain and a lock.
The Same was removed and sold (I Think) by the Cleaners coming to my Society.
When we asked them why they removed the same by Breaking the same, they told us that they were told to remove the same by our Neighbour.
This Person is on Rent in the Neighbouring Flat and he is at his native Now.
Also Please clarify if i can do the same.
The Cleaners have told us to do whatever we wish.

Greetings.I want to make a settlement deed of about 25 cents of agricultural land registered in my name in 2004 located in Siruseri IT Park ( About 20 km from Chennai ) to my daughter who is a American citizenship holder with PIO. I have been informed that we cannot make a settlemnent deed of Agricultural land to her as the land is classified as Agricultural land.
Now in the revised guideline values in the Tamil Nadu Govt website www.tnreginet.net, this land has been classified as Residential land Class I and the guideline values have been given on per sq ft basis.
I have the following queries.
1. Am I allowed to make a settlement deed now on the basis of the revised classification.
2. If yes, what are the documents I need from the revenue departments, VAO and other departments before proceeding further for making the settlement deed.
3. If no, what is the action I can take for smooth movement of the property to our daughter without any hassle after our period.
Could you please enlighten us.

IN FEB. 2013 I WAS TAKEN TO BAWA AT DONGRI IN MUMBAI.. HE TOLD THAT I HAVE A BALA IN MY BODY AND BITTED ME AND TALKED ILL TO ME. FURTHER TELL THAT HE IS DOING THE SAME TO BALA AND NOT TO ME... HE ASKED MY IN LAWS TO LOCK ME IN A ROOM FOR 11 DAYS. THEY DID THE SAME. TILL 11 DAYS EVERY NIGHT HE COME AND USE TO BIT ME.. THAN AS I WAS PHYSICALLY WEAK HE ASK MY IN LAWS TO TAKE ME BACK AT MY MATRIMONY HOUSE IN GUJARAT. I CAME BACK.. RECOVERING HEALTH I TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT NOW I WILL NOT GO TO HIM EVER AGAIN IN LIFE. HE AGREED ON MY SIDE. BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE HE REPORT MY EVERY ACTION TO HIM. AGAIN IN OCT. 2014 HE TOOK ME THIER BY TELLING LIE TO ME (reason of shopping). and took me to bawa.. again 3 days he hitted me.. than i gathered courage and bitted him and run away from their and returned to my matrimony home.. since than they started harrasinig me my husband also...
now i am staying with my parents. i filed dv and maintanence aginst them.. it is pending..
how can i file case aginst bawa.. because he belongs to mumbai and i am at gujrat..
