police record verification

sir with due respect to all experts of lawyers club india i want to ask a query please reply... last year i was in my graduation final year and an incident of "maarpeet" took place in my college..in which some students of my college attacked me and my frnd and we simply did self defence... after the incident we filed an fir against those student becasue some of my frnds were sereiously injured... but after few days those students filed an fake fir against us..and the investigating officer was forcing us to do "sulah" ..so after 2-3 days we(both parties) filed a "sulahnama" infront of "ssp"..and after that investigating officer wrote in his final report that both parties have compromised the matter and dont want to fight case... so my query is will it create any problem during police record verification because i am selected in a public sector bank??? thanks in advance

Recovery of mobile phone

Dear Sir/Madam
I had lost my phone a few months ago and it has been tracked using IMEI number. But the person whose SIM was used claims that he is not in possession of the phone now and is willing to compromise.

Will this police compromise be legal?
What will happen if someone misuses the phone after I have made the settlement?

Hindu adoption act

My mother was adopted by her father's sister family way back in 1940 when she was 2 month old.Her adopted parents brought her up, educated her got her married and after their death willed their entire property to my mother children I.e us.
After 22 years of my grandfathers death who died later than my grandmother, my grandfather's brother family have staked claim on our grandparents property.
My grandfather died in our house, we cremated him all last rites were conducted by us etc.
Now my grandfather brother's family have sent out notice to us saying , they took care of my grandfather etc and they are right full owner of all his properties. . we have not adoption papers , adoption took place in 1940 before the act came into force.how do we counter such a claim after 22 years of my grandfather passing away.
