Dear sir/ madam
my elder brother has expired on 3/4/2014, and before that he was suffering from paralysis last 3.5 years,.
my brother wife was living separately in her own parents and both of them had not separated legally (divorce).
now my brother wife want to done settlement between both of family., she complains the police station about such incident.
we lives in Delhi and she is now in Orissa with her family.
police comes to us and said we have to go their for settlement.
now I have a questions
1) whether it is registered case or just police complaint.
2) whether we will have to go the, or can we sort out the matter in Delhi.
3) what have the legal right of her in our property because we have some fixed deposit, Lic cliam in my brother name. One property in the name of my mother and another one is my father name.

Sir/Madam,
Can a General Power of Attorney be executed by a person for his land jointly in the name of two persons? E.g: Can A, land owner, (First Party/Executor) execute a GPA jointly in favour of B & C (Attorneys) in one deed of General Power.

I had purchased a land in Bangalore in the year 2007 and got the sales deed. The land(Aipro County) was the agriculture land at that point of time and the seller mentioned that it would be converted into commercial land in 4-5 months and I could register it. And the land has not been converted yet.
I paid an initial amount of Rs1,50,000 and they are not refunding it. Please let me know if you can provide assistance here and what would be the charges

Dear experts,
My wife has not appeared in the court despite issue of summons and an arrest warrant is due to be issued shorty against her. Since it is a case of 420 IPC where she can be jailed for up to 7 years, I fear that she can flee from country and never return back to face the law.
Is there any provision under law by which I can get her passport impounded/siezed through court.

Sir,
in an apartment, there was an illegal construction i.e. Offices and staircases(Front Margin) to stilt floor flats and separate entries to individual flats. Now Authorities demolished illegally constructed office spaces but staircases shown on sanctioned plan and concerned persons shown premium receipts indicating the penalty paid for staircases . I wrote to authorities that said staircases buildup such away that it covers mandatory marginal spaces of building , but demolishing authorities say they can't take action when structure shown on sanctioned plan .now, the sanctioning authorities say, we gave sanction after penalty for the same and the land shown is on concerned persons name , if said persons purchased the mandatory open space land then go in court .
My query is, when planning authorities sees any construction appl. for approval ,they must have seen the plan and mandatory marginal spaces ,how come they permitt construction on marginal spaces? what is use of rules of mandatory open spaces? Also ,in this case, Fire Brigade had not given NOC citing ''VIOLATION OF MARGINAL SPACES RULES''

I live in a leasehold flat in a cooperative housing society in Delhi and due to some dispute i have not paid maintenance in last year or so.
what can the society do to recover it and what are its powers concerning the flat.
can they bar me entry or disconnect power,gas etc?

Hello sir.. i wanted to know what happens when wife refused to cook and clean.. its been a month like this.. and i cannot afford to bring food from outside.. i work a job and she is housewife.
She refuses to do a job also.(work outside the home and get money)
We have no children.
its just me and her living in a rented flat .. no in-laws are there.
I heard about filing RCR .. will it be of any help ?
I dont want to hit or abuse her.. as i dont want to get in trouble.. but she is causing me a lot of mental pain by these actions.
When a husband dose not do his job and provide for the wife.. he is brutally thrown in jail for years..losses his job and his dignity..
what happens if the wife dose not perform her duty ? any action can be taken against it or Indian men have no rights ?
Will me filing rcr will help ?

and also.. she has not deserted me .. she is living with me.. the house is complete mess and my clothes are not washed.. if i dont bring food or eat outside she will cook Maggi/something small for herself and eat off.. but she wont cook normal food for me.
i work 11 hours a day with 2 hours on road.. i cannot cook and clean for myself.. it was her duty if she is not doing a job.
Please note : She is very stubborn and is saying that she will say directly in court that she will not cook or clean or even get a job.. and courts cant do anything against her.. is it true ?
she says if i stop giving her money she will throw me in jail under maintenance act.. as its my duty to provide.. but she has no duty towards me by law.. is it true ?

a. Husband file section 9 of HMA against wife
b. Judge order for reconciliation.
c. Reconciliation failed twice.
d. Wife files maintenance u/s 24 of HMA.
e. Husband withdraws RCR.
Wife wants to live with husband’s own house but husband wants to live in his parents’ house for taking care of parents. Wife also misbehaves with in-laws and asked to send them to old age home.
1. Can wife demand husband to neglect in-laws and live separately?
2. Can husband file divorce petition for desertion and cruelty against wife?
3. Can husband live together with someone else without waiting for divorce ?

Please advice me on this that being a plaintiff, i filed a recovery suit, in 2007, now matter is pendig and no one is appeared in between from my side, neither me or my advocate. Now i want to withraw my matter, what is the procedure?
Will i have to wait for next date or urgent application can be filed and matter can be put before the date?
Whats the procedure required? what applications and documents required?
